1981 – Solar Lines

Solar Lines, Toronto, 1981

“The sandbags marked out every hour where the light from the mirror hit. The mirror at the top reflected light down to the bottom. There was a sandbag seat down there in the bunker, next to the mirror. This one you sat there and looked at yourself. I used a lot of mirrors in those days.

I did a sunlines work in Melbourne too.

“Its one of my successful pieces.

The planks were suspended only a few inches above the water so when you walked on them, they would touch the water and make sounds.

The panels of glass were suspended and could move in the wind which added an extra dimension”
